Pam's Life

Dedicated to the memory of Henry Charles Hennings, Jr. This tribute is in loving gratitude for the many gifts he gave us all. Any donation in Henry's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be gratefully received. Go to www.jdrf.org, and revisit www.pamslife.com for information regarding the Spring 2010 silent auction and JDRF benefit at Ben Rogers Park in Milpitas. Thank you, may God bless you, and may you "always keep a diamond in your mind." (--Tom Waits)

The Buzz.

Bees are in short supply here in Silicon Valley fka Santa Clara Valley fka The Valley of Heart's Delight. Bees! Geez. Danger, Will Robinson. Something so simple, so natural, so made by the hand of God, is on the precipice of becoming endangered. Write to me with a solution so I can dream of either making it happen, or helping someone else make it happen.

Say. We can't manufacture them here, can we? Oh. I didn't think so.

Bee the bee. Bee green. How? Simple.*

1. Hang clothes on the line instead of using your dryer. Boring, tedious, but hey, it is a lot more personal not to mention natural.

2. Cooler, shorter showers. Make like you're camping.

You know the rest. Anyone out there want to carpool with me, from where I live to where I work? I know you are out there somewhere.

*Bragging Point: Our energy bill has been $35 a month for the last 3 years due to our collective efforts.

New Year's at Chef Chu's.

The ambience was lovely, and the gods of food were fine,
We ate, we laughed, we lolled our eyes,
And drank a lot of wine.
