We took a drive to Davenport beach on Saturday, to see what we could see.

I Have the Power.

I have the power to do things, to help, with my two hard-working hands. I have the power to share my experiences, my thoughts, my loves and wonders. I thank God and my lucky stars every day for each and every blessing that I have. Life is good, the world is kind, and I hope the world is being as kind to you today as it has been to me. So much to discover, still yet.

My friends explore, share, and companion. Technology gives me things I'd never have known. I touched the other side of the world fourteen times today. I have children who give me love. I have blessings too many to count.

Today I saw a flock of pelicans fly over the great line of cars commuting over Highway 237. Proof that nature endures anything and everything. That stretch of land grips to the little bit of wildness that is left. Mustard flowers and tidal sloughs touch the fringes of the gray and blue campuses like Google, Yahoo and TiVo in an opus to either progress, or evidence of the futility of trying to prevent it.

Love In A Mist.

That's the name of this flower. Love In A Mist. Isn't that funny? Henry grew it from seed. That was one of the defining moments when I realized that I was in love with him - when I knew that he knows the names of many, many flowers. Bastions of flowers. Fields of flowers. If you only understood how many he knows, you would love him too.
