The Kids Are All Right.
John is doing well, he is working lots of hours, he looks tall, strong, healthy and handsome. Carol Anne is growing up so fast, she's out of school and also working hard. I love her and John so much, and it's so hard when they grow up and you toss them to fate and watch them fly, at first clumsily then stronger as years rush by. Little birds. May God bless them all their lives, keep them strong and healthy and happy, and most of all may they love and smile at one another and enjoy being the beautiful brother and sister that they are.

Homage.
Three cheers for my old Piano. The acoustic one. I just love her! Bury her by my side! She sounds great for being built in 1921. That makes my piano 85 years old, and age has done her so well. (Time to call Neil Panton for another tune-up...Neil is the absolute best at his craft in the San Francisco Bay Area.)
Rich tall wood, ebony, ivory, and a regal stance that makes me want to make that thing sing.
Question: In the romantic languages, are pianos male? or female? Researching....

Bessie Jane Terry Camel Australia Dylan.
One of my favorite songs is Jane Siberry's "Bessie," about a girl who tries to teach a cow to fly. Simple, pleasing poetry. There is a sequel too, called "Mystery at Ogwen's Farm." This artist's impression of Bessie that Jane would appreciate is just the kind of stuff I love. (Proper credit to Henry for sending this to me.)
My producer, Terry Carleton, who has recorded with Camel (are YOU cool enough to remember Camel?), told me a story about the friendship between Jane and Joni. Joni wrote and I sang that she had "a diamond snake around my arm." Decades later the cover of Jane's anthology, Love Is Everything, shows Jane wearing what? A diamond snake around her arm. Really. I notice this kind of stuff.
Buy Jane's album. It is most excellent. Love really is Everything.
