Pam's Life

Dedicated to the memory of Henry Charles Hennings, Jr. This tribute is in loving gratitude for the many gifts he gave us all. Any donation in Henry's name to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation would be gratefully received. Go to www.jdrf.org, and revisit www.pamslife.com for information regarding the Spring 2010 silent auction and JDRF benefit at Ben Rogers Park in Milpitas. Thank you, may God bless you, and may you "always keep a diamond in your mind." (--Tom Waits)

Childhood Memories #33.

1. Being held by my mother after a particularly spooky dream.
2. Being challenged by my sister to spell a certain word.
3. Having a tortoise as our pet. The first pet I remember anyway.
4. The field in back of our house being built upon by Shasta soda pop products corp.
5. My sister being stung in the foot by a bee.
6. My brother being born.
7. Having a friend named Cathy Parker whose brother was a quarterback for Chico State and I would go to her house the day after a game and he would be sitting on their couch frozen in some kind of pain.
8. Falling down the stairs at my new junior high school in my older sister's hose and boots.
9. The day my dad wheeled a new piano into our house.
That's about it.

Ready to Master.

My CD is juuuuust about ready to send to Final Mix, the mastering studio in Campbell that Terry recommends. Almost there!! On Friday we finalized vox on Roses and Throw A Bone, and did the basics on a new tune I am calling Cocoons. It's hard to throw all these personal lyrics from life's bitter and sweet experiences out there, to see how folks react, but hey, they are either going to love my songs or hate them, I don't really care. I am just doing it.

Blogger's Block.

Haven't been able to blog, as I have finally, once and for all, FIRED Earthlink. I would like to say something nice about Earthlink but doggoneit, I just can't find the words to describe my Earthlink experience. On my brother's proclamations, exhortations and recommendations, I have switched to SBC and sincerely hope they provide more reliable service. Until then.
